Kampot, Cambodia

We are pleased to announce plans are underway for our next project – the construction of a secondary school in the rural town of Kampot, Cambodia.

Access to secondary education for children in this area is often very difficult due to the long commute and transport costs, which is not only unaffordable for most families, but comes with the risk of traffic accidents, harassment or abuse.

The new project will be on the same site as the existing Oddom Meanchey Primary, but will also serve another three other schools nearby, providing over 500 children access to secondary education.

As well as a new building with six classrooms and all the necessary amenities, our money will go towards a garden and vegetable plot, improving the quality of teaching and engaging the local community in helping to improve the standards of education.

All our fundraising from this year will go towards this build and a small team will be heading out to Cambodia in January 2023 to help lay the foundations of the school and kick the project off.
